Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 October 2026

These Terms of Service (the Terms) govern access to and use of Lamp Post and related services (the Service), operated by {{COMPANY}}. By creating an account or using the Service, the user agrees to be bound by these Terms. If the user does not agree, they must not use the Service. Questions can be sent to support@postalamp.com.

Eligibility

The user must be at least 16 years old, or older where the law of the user's country sets a higher age of digital consent. By using the Service, the user represents that they meet this requirement and that the information they provide is accurate. The user is responsible for maintaining the security of their account and for all activity under it.

The Service

Lamp Post lets the user create, save and manage their own content. The Service is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute professional advice.

Paid features and payments

Some features are paid. Prices are shown in the Service before any purchase.

Purchases made inside the iOS app go through Apple's in-app purchase system and are subject to the App Store's billing and refund policies.

Digital items are made available immediately, so purchases are final once used, except where applicable consumer law provides otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights the user may have under applicable consumer law.

Acceptable use

The user agrees not to use the Service to violate any applicable law, to harass, harm, impersonate or infringe the rights of others, to upload or share unlawful, hateful or abusive content, to interfere with, disrupt, scrape or reverse engineer the Service, or to circumvent usage limits or other technical controls.

User content

The user retains ownership of the content they create through the Service. The user grants us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service and, for content the user chooses to share, to make it available to others as the user directs. The user is solely responsible for the content they create and share and represents that they hold the rights necessary to do so. We may remove content or restrict access that violates these Terms.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its name, design and software, is owned by {{COMPANY}} or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant the user no rights in our trademarks or software other than the right to use the Service as permitted.

Suspension and termination

The user may stop using the Service and delete their account at any time on the account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access if the user violates these Terms or if their use poses a risk to the Service or to others. Following termination, data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to the user.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, {{COMPANY}} will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from or relating to use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the total amount the user paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred United States dollars. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Mobile applications

If the user obtains the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, these Terms are an agreement between the user and {{COMPANY}} only, and not with Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content and have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. To the extent permitted by law, Apple and Google are not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection law. In the event of a third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights, {{COMPANY}}, not Apple or Google, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of such claim. The user must comply with the applicable store's terms of service when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms as they apply to the iOS app, and upon the user's acceptance of these Terms, Apple has the right to enforce them against the user as a third-party beneficiary. Purchases of digital items within a mobile app are made through the store's in-app purchase system and are subject to the store's billing and refund policies.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where applicable law grants the user the right to bring proceedings in their place of residence.
